- Airstrike the terrorists and the hostages??? What a mess. Best wishes for the remaining hostages, and condolences to the deceased.
- It is weird to see that the Algerian hostages can 'escape' in such big numbers. Maybe the remaining kidnappers decided to let them go and focus on the (for them) higher valued Western hostages?
- @TwentyFourr We had reports earlier of 40 Algerians, mainly women working as translators, being freed uk.reuters.com
- Any update from the hostage/s from Asia?..
- @KSA There's no confirmed information on the exact number of hostages involved, or where they're from, but we'll keep passing on everything we get.
- We are all too quick to comment as we all know this is way to early to get a clear picture on what is happening. We are dealing with terrorist that give no value to life. a western nation would be hard pressed to deal with something like this in a remote location. Look at the mess our own nations forces get into when things are planned well in advance.
- any updates on norwegien hostages?
- @nor The only information we have received on Norwegian hostages is an earlier report that Norway's Prime Minister believes some Norwegian nationals are involved.
- Did the Algerians attack without informing the countries who nationals are hostages? Or was it a target of opportunity?
- Hmm .. I thought the US Presidet Mr. Obama said Al-Queida was on the run ! He had beaten them .. seems to me they are now trying to take over their 3rd country so far ...
- @bigal64 There are many terrorist groups, note that media often use the term 'linked to Al-Qaida'. As for any organised group, it is easy to take power when there is no clear structure due to weak governments.
