A man armed with an assault rifle and a handgun stormed a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and killed 50 people in the worst U.S. mass shooting in history.Here's what we know so far:- The shooter, Omar S. Mateen, was killed by police. CBS News reported that he was born in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and that his parents were from Afghanistan.
- Authorities are calling it a "terrorist incident," but they haven't confirmed any connections to Islamic militants.

Hillary Clinton: U.S. must face 'hard truths' after South Carolina shooting
Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton said on Thursday after a deadly shooting in a South Carolina church that the United States must face "hard truths" about race and violence.
"We have to face hard truths about race, violence, guns and division," she told a Las Vegas conference of Hispanic elected officials. "How many innocent people in our country from little children, church members to movie theater attendees, how many people do we need to see cut down before we act?"

Authorities announced an all clear in a reported bomb threat on the street of Morris Brown AME Church, the site of a vigil for South Carolina shooting victims, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.
Police in Greenville, South Carolina were also investigating a bomb threat at West End Community Church, where another vigil was taking place.
