President Obama makes remarks on immigration policy
President Barack Obama will deliver remarks on new Department of Homeland Security guidelines for younger illegal immigrants.
-
By the end of Obama's term his administration may have deported more immigrants than in Bush's two terms. 1.06 million people had been deported as of the end of fiscal year 2011, against 1.57 million in Bush's two full presidential terms.
In 2011 nearly 400,000 illegal immigrants were sent home, the highest number since the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency was formed eight years ago. www.reuters.com -

How many times has POTUS said he can't take steps like this because he's "not king?"by samyoungman via twitter 6/15/2012 6:02:24 PM -
In an interview on Fox News, Republican Representative Allen West suggested the Obama administration's new deportation policy may be motivated by a desire to create a "backdoor" allowing illegal immigrants to vote:
"Is this one of those backdoor opportunities to allow people in the next five months to get the opportunity to vote?" West asked. "Will we see Janet Napolitano and the president come out with a new edict that says since we allow these people to be here legally, we’re now going to allow them to vote? How far down the rabbit hole will it go?" -
