A bit more detail on what the nuclear safety official said:
'Japan's nuclear safety agency said on Friday there was no data to suggest that there was a rupture in Reactor No. 3 of its crippled nuclear power plant.
Three workers have sustained radiation burns from water in the reactor.
"It could be from venting operations and there could be some water leakage from pipes or from valves, but there is no data suggesting a crack," said Japanese nuclear agency official Hidehiko Nishiyama.' -

China has announced a ban on some Japanese food and agricultural imports from areas near the nuclear plant. The ban covers dairy products, vegetables, fruit and aquatic products. It says it is also enhancing checks on food and agricultural imports from other parts of Japan.
