@Teenaz Javat I did this interview blogs.reuters.com with Biocon CEO Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw a couple of weeks ago. It was very interesting talking with her. -

I spent International Women's Day just outside Bangalore, India, with a Habitat Women's Build group. We were honored at a gathering of local women -- about 250 women of all ages who march down the street with signs and banners and floooded into the tent like a cascade of jewels. their saris and the colors were amazing. The main speaker was the district Chief of Police, who is -- amazingly -- a woman. The entire edition of the local newspaper was dedicated to Women's Day -- something I don't recall being more than mentioned in our press. Perhaps the reason is that, by comparison, women in the US seem to be in a much better place than the women of India. It was a great event and and a good day to remember that our sisters around the world work a lot harder at life than we have to. -

Hi Julie. Not sure if this is redundant but here is Michelle Obama's Women's Day/Month transcript blogs.suntimes.com -
"...to honor the quiet heroes who've shaped this country from the very beginning. We honor the women who traveled those lonely roads to be the first ones in those courtrooms, to be the first ones in those boardrooms, to be the first ones on those playing fields, and to be the first ones on those battlefields." -
