Welcome to day three of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The theme of our coverage today is 'Global Economy' and we will be bringing you highlights throughout the day, including blogs, video, pictures and the best content from Reuters and across the web. You can start by watching our Davos Today programme at www.reuters.com We will post some of the best bits from today's show on the live blog later today. -
So what's on the schedule today? Highlights include Microsoft founder Bill Gates -- the man most people want to catch a glimpse of at Davos -- taking part in a session featuring Zimbabwe's PM Morgan Tsvangirai about the Millunnium Development Goals. Elsewhere, Renault Chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn will feature in a session on moving forward following the Copenhagen Climate Summit and there is a session on the U.S. economy with Lawrence Summers, Director of National Economic Council, Executive Office of the President. Google boss Eric Schmidt is also in action, taking part in a discussion on how technology can deliver healthcare and education. -

Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, the world's largest advertising agency, was one of those interviewed by Reuters Insider television this morning. Sorrell told the Davos Today programme that more consolidation in the industry is likely. www.reuters.com -

The opening session on day three of the WEF featured Bill Gates and Morgan Tsvangirai discussing the Millenium Development Goals (MDGS). Mr Gates said: "It is clear we are not going to get straight As on MDGs but among our successes is malaria where we should hit our goal; Vietnam likely to make all MDGs." -

The main climate change session of the day features Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO, Renault-Nissan Alliance. The panel discussion is entitled, "From Copenhagen to Mexico: What's next?" Mexico will host the next U.N. Climate Conference in December. Calderon said: "Climate change affects us all today. We must start taking actions today and reach comprehensive agreement." Sounds familiar, doesn't it? -

Ferrovial chairman Rafael del Pino told Reuters Insider this morning that the company has no plans to tap equity markets and talked about his levels of optimism for the coming year. "I think everybody is cautiously optimistic and there is a much better mood than last year, no doubt.
